Assignment #4 In your first assignment, you collected information about twenty school web sites. In this assignment, you will take that data, and turn it into a web page. I have created a page with the data that I collected when I did that assignment. A graphic of my web page is below. I have high lighted (in red) all the things you need to put in your web page. Here are the specific items I am looking for in this assignment. 1. Do this assignment using only a text editor like Notepad or SimpleText. Don't use FrontPage, DreamWeaver or some other WYSIWYG editor. This page has only the fundamental HTML tags, and you need to have a strong understanding of how each one works. |
|
| 2. Here is the list of the tags that you must use on your page. |
Heading 1 Heading 2 Mail to link for your email address Table with a row for each school and a column for District, URL, City, County, Number of Students, Server Software, Teacher Web Pages and Student Web Pages. I have used a border=1 setting in my table. You'll need to look at the external resources to see how to do this. The first row of the table needs to have the description of what is in the column. These descriptions need to be in bold. Hyper link with the URL to the district web site |
3. I don't want to see any extra tags. Style is not important in this assignment. The tags that I have listed in the gray box above will be plenty to learn, especially if you are new to HTML. Notice I have not asked you to use the font tag. That particular tag is more complicated to hand-type, so I don't want to see it. Use the heading tags in the two places that I have indicated, and leave the rest of the text alone. 4. Save your file as DEFAULT.HTM and use the View/Complete link to submit your work as a file attachment. I need it by Sept 23 , 2006. |
